Infrared Cooker

Everything is set on a flat touch panel: ten stages of power and temperature, a timer, and a child lock, with the current setting reading out in red LED. The body measures 280 × 406 × 62 mm, so it sits on a worktop or goes away in a cupboard between meals.

A three-hour timer, a child lock, and overheat and overflow protection cover the everyday risks. It runs on ordinary 220–240V household power through a 1.5 m lead and a fitted BS 3-pin plug.

• 2000W Infrared Heating

  It heats by infrared element rather than induction, so the pots already in the kitchen work on it. Ceramic, glass, stainless steel, aluminium — nothing special to buy.

• Reads in Both °C and Watts

  The display switches between the temperature and the wattage it is drawing, so you can set it either way round.

• High-Temperature Lamp

  A lamp beside the panel stays lit while the plate is still hot enough to burn, after the cooker itself is off.

• Ten Power Levels

  A 10-stage power and temperature scale, so the same plate holds a bare simmer or drives a full rolling boil.

• Touch Control Panel

  A flat sensor panel with no raised buttons, so there is no seam along the front for grease and crumbs to collect in.

• Red LED Display

  The setting and the timer read out in red, which stays legible across a bright kitchen.

• Three-Hour Timer

  Set the cooker to run for up to three hours and switch itself off, so a slow pot does not need watching.

• Child Lock

  Locks the panel so a stray press cannot change the setting or bring the plate on.

• Overheat and Overflow Protection

  The element cuts out if the plate runs too hot or a pot boils over onto the panel.
